When Chico Xavier incarnated to fulfil the ministry that he was to develop, it was all expectations and promises.

He was favoured by immeasurable blessings, mainly in the area of mediumship. The Messengers of Light promised to inspire and support him during his entire terrestrial trajectory, to warn him of the dangers of material passions, as well as the struggles that he would have to face in order to be able to reach a secure haven.

He became an orphan and was cruelly persecuted during his infancy. Solitude and bitterness were constantly around him, trying to obstruct his progress. However, due to superior assistance, he was helped to overcome the rudest challenges and to grow internally towards enlightenment.

In spite of enemies from the past that were reincarnated again and who fiercely attacked him with cruelty provoking afflictions during all of his organic life, he managed to love them without ever retaliating to these attacks or the evil that was directed towards him.

He experienced abandonment and discredit, all sorts of unfulfilled needs and innumerable temptations threatened his moral integrity as he journeyed through life. However, he never succumbed to money, sex, society’s false pretences or feelings of vileness.

He always kept himself in an atmosphere of harmony, tuned in with the Generating Sources of Life, from where he obtained courage and strength in order not to weaken.

By working tirelessly, widening the field of solidarity and lighting the torch of rational faith through his uncommon mediumistic demonstrations, he helped to enlighten many lives that became as beacons in their turn, thus providing support for many other existences.

He never became irritated, nor gave himself to dejection, not even when flooded with perverse accusations, always remaining loyal to his duties, without ever presenting any personal defence or justification.

Slowly, by his example of integrity and effort as a Christian hero, he touched the people and their leaders who came to love him. He was an example in behaviour and became a referential person for those who wished to receive secure information about the Spiritual World and the phenomena of mediumship.

His words, sweet and blessed with kindness, were always emitting teachings and directing into the pathways of goodness all those who looked towards him for guidance.

In constant contact with his Guardian Angel, whom he never disappointed by taking a wrong direction from the path of his duty, he maintained discipline and devotion to his assumed commitment.

Even when deserted by some, by affections, friends, acquaintances or strangers, he never neglected his commitment to Life or deserted his tasks.

Illness weakened his energies, but these were renewed through his prayers and his unstoppable exercise in charity.

The clarity of his eyes gradually diminished until they were almost extinct; however, his interior sight became more powerful to penetrate the secrets of Spirituality.

He never refused to help anyone, but was never himself a burden.

His extraordinary silences were louder than any of the distressing discussions and senseless debates, occurring not only around him but also far from him, regarding the Doctrine and its sublime teachings that he defended.

He became the major para-psychic antenna of his time, being able to astral travel while in an altered state of consciousness near to a sleep state, and penetrate minds and hearts to better help them.  Just as much as he become very malleable to the Spirits, who utilised him for almost 75 years of devotion and self-renunciation in the work of an enlightening mediumship.

For this very reason his was a mission of incomparable mediumship.

  … Thus, on his passing into the spiritual world, gently and sweetly, allowing his body to be calmed, he ascended towards the Infinity, being received by Jesus, Who sheltered him with His goodness and assured him:

- Rest for a while, my son, so as to forget the sadness of Earth and enjoy the enchanting happiness’ of the Celestial Kingdom.
